Swimmer, model, Playboy cover hottie -- Amanda Beard does it all. Beard made her national debut at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta at just 14 years old. She captured silver medals in the 100-meter and 200-meter breaststrokes that year, as well as a gold medal in the medley relay.
After nabbing a bronze medal in the 200-meter breaststroke in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Beard attend Arizona University and captured an individual NCAA National Championship in 2001. Just two years later in 2003, she became a world champion and world record holder in the 200-meter breaststroke.
In the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Beard tied her previous three medal wins with a gold in the 200-meter breaststroke, and silvers in the 200-meter individual medley and 4x100-meter medley relay.
For her swimming career, Beard has won eight United States titles, including three each in the 200-meter and 100-meter breaststroke, as well as twice in the 200-meter individual medley. She also had a number one ranking in the 200-meter breaststroke in 2003.
In addition to dominating in swimming, Beard has appeared on the cover of the September 2004 issue of FHM, as well as the July 2007 issue of Playboy. Wait, she’s a great swimmer and is smoking hot – too good to be true, right?
