10 Reasons why the dog isn’t man's best friend

You may have heard from time immemorial that dogs are a man’s best friend. While this may be true for some, there are many people who would beg to differ. If you don’t believe what’s being said here, just read the following and see for yourself.

1) Dogs are quite tough to manage, and you would have to exert a lot of effort to keep them in check.

2) Dogs are rather difficult to train, and an untrained dog can be a pest and a nuisance.

3)  They can get quite ferocious, which means that you have to keep them on a strong leash. One bite from a mad dog, and you would realize that a dog couldn’t be your best friend.

4)  Another huge reason why dogs are not really our best friend has to do with the fact that you have to spend so much on pet medicines. Once you think about these costs, you are bound to rethink your assessment the dog-human relationship.

5)   In addition, dogs can also stray, if you are not careful. This can make you waste precious time looking for that truant pet of yours. When it comes to food, your ‘faithful’ pet can be rather finicky, and that means more hassles for you.

6)  Just try to keep a cat with your dog, and you might as well wish your cat a nice afterlife.

7)  They may also come down frequently with ticks and lice, and you would have a tough time trying to get your dog disinfected except, of course, if you have some good petmeds at home.

8)  Getting dogs registered and buying all the stuff to keep them comfy and clean also mean added costs.

9)  While you may be able to get some moments of affection with dogs, it also means that you cannot leave home and hence are bound to the confines of home. It’s a different thing if you can afford a pet companion service.

10)  They can turn a real embarrassment, especially if they are male dogs, when your guests arrive home to be greeted by some doggy love on their pants. Well, you know what we mean here, don’t you?
