Provides easy access to a great deal of information as you are checking quotes or portfolios, including news reports, a company profile, analyst upgrades, insider trading information and downgrades and SEC filings.

Marketwatch.com
This site is also an excellent resource for conducting company research, providing a wide range of information in an easy to access format.

Hoover's Online
This site refers to itself as "the ultimate source of company information." It provides comprehensive and well-organized information regarding companies, along with links to selected stories from other publications that provide useful background on the applicable company. Its Stockscreener feature allows you to search for stocks that meet certain criteria, such as P/E, growth rate, size, margins, etc.

FreeEdgar.com
Edgar is the electronic filing system used by companies to file mandatory disclosures with the SEC. This excellent site provides free access to the filings for all public companies in an easy to use format. You can also create your own "watchlist" of companies and the site will email you with filing updates.

Forbes.com
This site offers free access to each edition of this well-known magazine from 1996. This is a very useful resource in researching companies.
