Bullz-Eye.com's Fantasy Football Preview

Sports Channel / Bullz-Eye Home

It's August, or what many people commonly know as national Abandon Your Fantasy Baseball Team month. Don't get us wrong, we love fantasy baseball too...just not as much as fantasy football. Give the NFL credit: they've done an excellent job of promoting and marketing their product, and it shows in the exploding popularity fantasy football has enjoyed over the last few years. Regular season football games have become an event, whereas regular season baseball games are just a drop in the 162-game bucket. "They lost today? Oh well, they'll win tomorrow." With football, every game is big, and that feeling drives the allure of fantasy football. Every Sunday is an event, a day you look forward to all week. Just like August is a month you look forward to all year.

Our tiered positional rankings offer a clearer picture of the talent dropoff within each position, which in turn should help you choose between a third running back and third receiver in the sixth round. Plus, don't miss Jamey Codding's list of Power Players, a dozen names that will help determine how the balance of power will swing in most leagues this year. Finally, be sure to check out John Paulsen's updated articles, Charm the Snake and How to Win Your Fantasy Football League, for more draft pointers.
