Our man Jason Newman was on hand with other members of the Hollywood press for a series of interviews with the cast and crew of “Limitless.”
Bradley Cooper is a pretty big name in his own right these days, but bringing Cooper together with Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish on “Limitless” makes for one star-studded affair. Cooper, De Niro, Cornish, director Neil Burger and screenwriter Leslie Dixon recently sat down with a group of journalists in New York to discuss the film and some of their other projects.
Bradley Cooper
Cooper plays Eddie Morra as the lead character in the film. “I love cars. I ride horses, I sword fight, kung-fu, drive cars, fly a plane, scuba dive, whatever. (Acting) is a great business for that, purely forget the thespian aspect. It’s just fucking wonderfully immature. It’s like, “Ooh, gadgets!”
Robert De Niro, Neil Burger, and Leslie Dixon
De Niro plays Carl Van Loon, a very rich and powerful character in the film. Director Neil Burger: “We needed somebody who was powerful just in their own right. So all of us thought, Leslie and Scott Kroopf, who’s the other producer, who better than Robert De Niro to be that guy.”
Abbie Cornish
Cornish plays Lindy, Cooper’s love interest in the film. On working with De Niro: “When I saw Robert De Niro’s face, all his characters flashed before my eyes. Then that cleared and I saw this man who is Robert De Niro. It’s surreal and wonderful and amazing.”
